we ate here after watching the parade under the scorching sun, service is great, waiter and waitress kept filling my water cup because i drank lot of water. ramen is very flavorfull, my tan tan ramen is little too salty but evertyhing else is great specially love the sesame seed and roast galic condiments. Restaurant is small, customer turn over fast.
Some yummy Philly ramen!! Cute small location. Quick efficient service. We had the gyoza, Shoyu ramen and Tan Tan ramen both were delicious and well balanced. I also enjoyed the green tea!
It's been a long time since I last came, I forgot how good their ramen is! Really like the miso ramen and I like to swap the noodles out for udon which they happily did for me without any issues. I can't recall if they charged me to swap it though, in case you're wondering. Staff was attentive, service quick. Sunday night, there was a line but wait wasn't long.
Terakawa Ramen is a small restaurant located in Philadelphia's Chinatown area, known for serving authentic and delicious dishes, and in my opinion a must-visit destination. The restaurant has about 30 seats, creating an intimate dining experience. The staff at Terakawa Ramen is attentive and polite, ensuring that customers feel welcome and well taken care of during their visit. Signature Dish: Terakawa Ramen One of the standout dishes at Terakawa Ramen is their signature dish, the "Terakawa Ramen." This dish features Natural Heritage Berkshire Pork bone soup topped with roast pork (charshu), bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, chopped scallions, and a seasoned boiled egg. Very rich and flavorful broth, tender pork, and well-balanced combination of ingredients. I am told the broth is prepared days in advance, allowing the flavors to develop and intensify, resulting in a deeply satisfying bowl of ramen. It was so delicious!
My favorite ramen spot in Philadelphia. The place is always crowded but i believe that is the sign of delicious foods. I always ordered Tan Tan Ramen with extra Charsu along with Mini Curry Rice Bowl that can be ordered if you order ramen or udon. For appetizer, will be and always Takoyaki, my favorite.
I absolutely love coming here in the spring and summer when I visit the city! My favorite bowl is the signature ramen which is very filling and savory dish. I sometimes try to grab a plate of gyoza while there. It can be a bit crowded, loud and squashed during dinner hours but the waitresses always make sure you're taken care of. I enjoy sitting near the kitchen and watching them prepare meals as well.
Straight up, confirming the almost 2k reviews that say this place is it! Not only do they have Yelp Waitlist which helps when it comes to their rather long wait times (because it's that good), but the ambiance and service seals the deal. The restaurant is small, the tables are very close to each other, so definitely expect that. My table was luckily tucked away in a corner so I wasn't too bothered by it. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive from the jump. I specifically ordered the vegetarian miso ramen and my table shared some edamame. The bowl was huge and packed full of veggies and flavor. There was no way I was going to be able to eat it all but I definitely tried. If you're near Chinatown in Philly, you have to stop through. There's a ton of good food and shopping to make an afternoon of it.
OMG..... quite literally one of the best ramen places in Philly. I'll start off by saying you'll probably want to spend your money mostly on the ramen. The appetizers are good, not great or anything mind blowing (not really worth spending your money on in my opinion). But the ramen, is a completely different story. The broth is so rich and creamy and flavorful, I could've slurped on that alone and have been satisfied. I think this could possibly be my favorite ramen place in Philly. The service was fast and our waiter was kind and attentive. The inside is clean and has a lot of seating but a bit crowded, which makes sense because it is such a popular restaurant. The restaurant is located in Chinatown, which is convenient. Side note: they do not take reservations by calling in. You have to walk in and sign your name with how many guests on a tablet when you walk through the front door. I went with my family on a Sunday evening and for a party of 5, the wait was about 30-45 minutes.
Still very busy on sunday evening around 7pm ish We were waitlisted for 10? Mins Ordered two ramen and takoyaki Food were good as they aways have been Even tho i felt my soyu ramen was bit more oily
